But last night had the "Thong Song" AND "Sweet Caroline". Worthy of watching just for that!  ;D

I just watch it for the cheerleader dance numbers.
Finally, some honesty around here.

You do realize it's on opposite of Lost now...

Until next year, I'm going to have to watch it online the next day.

anyone else watch the finale?  I thought it ended well, and in the right way, too.  Can't wait to see next season.

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing MissKitty did not watch the episode last night.

I liked it, thought it was really good.

I totally thought Quinn was going to change her mind, but I was, at the same time, not surprised that the other choir lady adopted her.

This post on Jen Lancaster's blog made me think of the GLEE discussion on these boards... :)

**********

Fletch:  “Just how many “Glee” soundtrack CDs are there?

Jen: “Five.  Why do you ask?”

Fletch: “Because you have at least eight in your CD changer, and I suspect some are duplicates or custom remixes.  I finally found a ‘Bangles Greatest Hits’ CD and listened to ‘Hazy Shade of Winter’ for about 27 times in a row.  (Channeling Kenny Powers) ‘Honey, I love you...I think you're a terrific girl — but you got music like a fuckin' dickhead’.”

Jen: “What’s wrong with ‘Glee’ soundtracks?”

Fletch: “If I have to explain that, then you really hate music!  I would say that you have terrible taste in music, but that would imply that you have ANY taste in music!  You have the opposite of taste in music!  You suck the taste out of music!  You are to music what I am to literature!”

Jen: “OK, then”

Fletch: “Sorry about that.  I was stuck in traffic all day.  I’m gonna go take a nap.  And you know what?  Susanna Hoffs has a great voice.”

hee.

I was pleased with the season premiere, thought the open was great. Didn't know all of the songs, which is a little annoying, but that is what happens when you don't ever listen to Top 40 (?). I'm a bit concerned that next week is theme week already, and WHY does it have to be Britney Spears, and I'm afraid Brittany is good only in small doses. We shall see.

I'm done kidding around with this show.  If you like Glee, you need to be punched in the face. At a minimum.  If you like Glee, you are everything that is wrong with the world today.  If you like Glee, I consider you as needing to meet the burden of proof to justify your existence.  If you like Glee you should not reproduce.

They'll do an episode where they'll cover grunge era songs.  Probably when one of the cheerleaders gets slipped a roofie and shoots up the school, to make sense of it all, the gang will pull together to do a stirring medley of "Rape Me," and "Jeremy" while incorporating Bush, Silverchair, Candlebox and Seven Mary Three tunes to confront their own issues of alienation and dissolution.

Then, they'll bang out a firecracker of an episode of Cher songs the following week.

I'll admit that I like Glee. It's fun entertainment. I guess I need to invest in a face mask when I drive through Richmond next month.

Candlebox doesn't put out a new album every week.
