1) The Hangover - It was funny I guess.  Never been to Vegas, so a lot of it was lost on me.
2) Inglorious Basterds - Pretty kickass when Brad Pitt was on the screen.  Still cool otherwise.
3) District 9 - One of the best Sci-Fi movies I've ever seen.  I'm buying this one to add to my DVD collection of like 20 films.
4) G-Force - About as lame as I figured it would be.  I'm still amazed Tracy Jordan does voice overs for kids movies.
5) Moon - I'd never even heard of this before I read all of your reviews.  I liked it.  I wasn't blown away by it, but I thought it was a good, solid sci-fi movie.  It was a refreshing change to have the robot not trying to kill the guy.
6) The Hurt Locker - I liked this.  I've been sick of shoot 'em up war movies and this was more of a sciency take on war.  I wish there was more cool bomb diffusing stuff.
7) 9 - Pretty much as awesome as I expected it to be.
8 ) Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs - I thought it was freakin' hillarious.  So did the kids.  The wife, not so much.  I think she's a purist and wanted it to be like the book.  But face it, that would be pretty boring.  Loved the Monkey Thought Translator and the Rat Birds.
9) The Fantastic Mr. Fox - An excellent adaptation.  I thought it stayed very true to the spirit of the book.  It was funny and sweet and madcap.  The use of the Beach Boys was pretty artful.
10) Surrogates - Somewhat interesting premise, crappily done.  Once I learned the antagonist's motivation, I was done.
11) Yes Man - Another typical Jim Carrey movie.  It was good, mindless, folding the laundry entertainment.
12) Bright Star - Got suckered into watching this stupid, boring period piece about people wearing silly hats.  So slow my wife even fell asleep and it was her pick.
13) Up In The Air - Depressing watch for me.  Too many lay offs coupled with a boring back story and uninteresting characters.
14) Ponyo - This was excellent.  Miyazaki always delivers on the super adorable.
15) The Princess and the Frog - The kids loved it, the wife had some kind of argument on how Disney is racist, I just thought it was awesome animation and enjoyed the whole thing.
16) Where the Wild Things Are - Boring as shit.  It was like taking some off your favorite childhood creatures and using them as puppets to conduct a therapy session.
17) Astro Boy - I used to love watching this show when I was a kid, so I was worried about this one.  They did a really good job with it though and made Astro Boy the same humble super powered robot he was in the manga.
18) Twilight: New Moon - I got guilted into watching this with the wife.  The only thing good I can say about it was it was tbetter than the first one, much in the same way that one turd is a prettier shade of brown than another one.
19) How To train Your Dragon 2D - What a cool movie.  Pretty faithful to the original books and really fun and heartwarming.  We loved it.
20) Ninja Assasin - Stupidly boring.
21) Strangers on a Train - Caught this Saturday night on TCM's Essentials series.  I would agree that it is essential viewing.  It was the best Hitchcock movie I've ever seen.
22) Kick-Ass - What a fun movie.  Pretty much a must see for comic book nerds.
23) Sherlock Holmes - WOW!...soooooo good.  I really hope there's a sequel and that it is also directed by Guy Ritchie.  Just checked IMDB on a whim and it looks like there will be one...Untitled Sherlock Holmes Sequel (2011) (pre-production)
24) Alice in Wonderland - We really dug this.  Pretty cool effects and whatnot.  Loved the Jabberwocky and and how they tried to model a lot of it from the Lewis Carrol novel illustrations.
25) The Road - Finally got to check this out.  Similar to the book, but not as bleak, if you can imagine that.  The narrative style was o.k., but there's no way they could have come close to the narrative style in the book.  Save your money and go to the library and get the book.

26) Bruno - Alright...I'm getting off the Sasha Baron Cohen train now.

27) I Love You Man - This movie was great.  I related with the main character on just about every level.

I read this comment, then the very next website I opened up had this as a headline:

Ohio man killed by family dogs

31. Alice In Wonderland
32. The A-Team

33. Toy Story 3 (3.5 out of 5) - I'm officially Toy Storied out. The last two thirds of this movie I enjoyed, but the first third (other than the first 5-10 minutes of character introduction) felt plodding. Even the "bad guy" Lotso seemed lame to a degree, even though his motives fit the plot points it needs to in order to tell this story. This movie is all about belonging and letting go, and the last two thirds of this film get that part right, especially the last 10-15 minutes of the film. The biggest problem for me with this film is that it feels like its going through the motions, but I didn't feel a soul to the picture like I did with Up, Wall-E, or even the first two Toy Story's (ok, maybe just Toy Story Uno). I chuckled maybe twice at the jokes, and Michael Keaton's Ken doll almost made me rate this higher (loved the gambling operation at the top of the vending machine... always bet on the cow saying "mooooooooo"....), but it just feels like there was something missing this time out... BTW, the opening short, "Night and Day", was great and very inventive.

37. Toy Story 3 - 7

Meh.  -1 for the annoying monkey toy.  That's one of my top 5 least favorite noises ever.  Otherwise, I thought this movie was enjoyable, but mostly unnecessary.  Would rather Pixar spend their time on some unique stories than cranking out sequels.  But it sounds as if Disney finally has gotten the better of them, as I hear their next 2 films are to be sequels as well.  And neither of them are The Incredibles, which needs a sequel the most.

38. The Road - 7

Well that was just utterly depressing.  And again, my main beef with post-apocalyptic films is brought to bear... what caused the apocalypse in the first place?  I guess that is unimportant.  But what is important are countless scenes with the man and the boy dragging a cart up a road.  Some intense parts really made it worthwhile, but overall not a great movie.

20 minutes into this we were both ready to dismiss this as little more than one typing error away from the truth. We stuck with it however and feel glad that we did. There's real reward in this psychological thriller despite some occasional scenery-chewing acting from DeCaprio and Kingsley. Our advice is to stick with it, it'll probably be better than you initially think too!
72 Alice in Wonderland
Lewis Carroll's famous yarn is TimBurtoned with an all-star cast of live acting and voiceovers. Not bad, but a disappointment compared to the porn movie of the same name I saw in the Eighties.
73 The Village Barbershop
Absolutely delightful and gentle little indie movie starring Cliffy from Cheers. Small-town America encapsulated nicely in a tale of a barber trying to come to terms with personal losses of all varieties. Surprisingly entertaining.

I almost gave up on it after 30 minutes but am glad I stuck with it. Figured it out before it was half over, but it was still good to see all the pieces fall into place. Nice little thriller.

41. Alice in Wonderland
I love Tim Burton movies (Sweeney Todd excepted) and thought he did a bang-up job that Lewis Carroll would be proud of. Be sure to watch the extras, as it will give viewers a whole new appreciation on how the movie was put together. And Crispin Glover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Johnny Depp!!!!!!!! And grinning blue kitties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
