1. A Boy Named Charlie Brown
2. Crazy Love
3. Wristcutters: A Love Story
4. District 9
5. The Maiden Heist
6. Julie and Julia
7. Big Fan
8. Moon
9. Taking Woodstock
10. Pop Star on Ice
11. Full Grown Men
12. Lars and the Real Girl
13. Will Ferrell You're Welcome America: A Final Night with George W. Bush
14. Inglorious Basterds

16. Poseidon Adventure
17. Shrek Forever After

20. Sherlock Holmes
21. Shutter Island
22. The Awful Truth
23. Meet Me in St. Louis
24. The Cooler
25. The Men Who Stare at Goats
26. The Informant!
27. Despicable Me
28. Iron Giant
29. 2001: A Space Odyssey
30. Life with Father

31. James and the Giant Peach - Bizzare yet wonderful, as you would expect a Roald Dahl story to be.  Very well done.

32. The Long, Long Trailer - Old movie with Lucy and Desi pretty much playing their characters from I Love Lucy except without the Cuban bandleader stuff.  She convinces him that they should buy a trailer rather than a house so that she can go with him when he travels on business.  It's pretty much The Money Pit on wheels, except funnier.  The part at the end where they go up Pike's Peak nearly caused me to wet myself.  Highly recommended.

33. The Neverending Story - Didn't hold up that well, imho.

34. My Favorite Wife - Irene Dunn/Cary Grant.  Pretty funny.  Irene Dunn is lost on a desert island long enough for Cary Grant to have her declared dead and remarry.  The wife is rescued and shows up while the new bride and groom are honeymooning... hilarity ensues.

35. A Serious Man - Definitely not your typical Cohen Bros. comedy.  It had a lot of their sensibilities but overall not a particularly funny movie.  The main character is pathetic at best and you wonder at what point he's going to start pondering offing himself.  The stoned bar mitzvah scene is outstanding.

Despite not sharing everyone else's love for Adam Sandler and REALLY hating (fellow Brit) Russell "No Talent" Brand, I found myself strangely enjoying this farcical family-friendly fantasy. Mind you, it also featured Keri Russell. -1 for featuring Journey over the closing credits... just because I loves my wifey
102 Airplane!
‎30 years on (30? Really? Bloody Hell) Still holds up as one of the consistently funniest movies ever.
103 Blow Out
‎(This is not to be in any way confused with David Hemming's superb "Blow Up"). I admit that when this came out on video I watched it several times over, apparently intrigued by the...well, intrigue.., and technology involved in solving the murder we see at the beginning. 30 years later I realise just how stupid I was. This is a poorly-scripted story and Travolta is about as believable as an Oreo Cookie in the lead role. Sadly Nancy Allen's performance makes his look like fucking Olivier, and the whole is a disjointed ludicrous mess. I guess I must have enjoyed the nudity?

1) The Hangover - It was funny I guess.  Never been to Vegas, so a lot of it was lost on me.
2) Inglorious Basterds - Pretty kickass when Brad Pitt was on the screen.  Still cool otherwise.
3) District 9 - One of the best Sci-Fi movies I've ever seen.  I'm buying this one to add to my DVD collection of like 20 films.
4) G-Force - About as lame as I figured it would be.  I'm still amazed Tracy Jordan does voice overs for kids movies.
5) Moon - I'd never even heard of this before I read all of your reviews.  I liked it.  I wasn't blown away by it, but I thought it was a good, solid sci-fi movie.  It was a refreshing change to have the robot not trying to kill the guy.
6) The Hurt Locker - I liked this.  I've been sick of shoot 'em up war movies and this was more of a sciency take on war.  I wish there was more cool bomb diffusing stuff.
7) 9 - Pretty much as awesome as I expected it to be.
8 ) Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs - I thought it was freakin' hillarious.  So did the kids.  The wife, not so much.  I think she's a purist and wanted it to be like the book.  But face it, that would be pretty boring.  Loved the Monkey Thought Translator and the Rat Birds.
9) The Fantastic Mr. Fox - An excellent adaptation.  I thought it stayed very true to the spirit of the book.  It was funny and sweet and madcap.  The use of the Beach Boys was pretty artful.
10) Surrogates - Somewhat interesting premise, crappily done.  Once I learned the antagonist's motivation, I was done.
11) Yes Man - Another typical Jim Carrey movie.  It was good, mindless, folding the laundry entertainment.
12) Bright Star - Got suckered into watching this stupid, boring period piece about people wearing silly hats.  So slow my wife even fell asleep and it was her pick.
13) Up In The Air - Depressing watch for me.  Too many lay offs coupled with a boring back story and uninteresting characters.
14) Ponyo - This was excellent.  Miyazaki always delivers on the super adorable.
15) The Princess and the Frog - The kids loved it, the wife had some kind of argument on how Disney is racist, I just thought it was awesome animation and enjoyed the whole thing.
16) Where the Wild Things Are - Boring as shit.  It was like taking some off your favorite childhood creatures and using them as puppets to conduct a therapy session.
17) Astro Boy - I used to love watching this show when I was a kid, so I was worried about this one.  They did a really good job with it though and made Astro Boy the same humble super powered robot he was in the manga.
18) Twilight: New Moon - I got guilted into watching this with the wife.  The only thing good I can say about it was it was tbetter than the first one, much in the same way that one turd is a prettier shade of brown than another one.
19) How To train Your Dragon 2D - What a cool movie.  Pretty faithful to the original books and really fun and heartwarming.  We loved it.
20) Ninja Assasin - Stupidly boring.
21) Strangers on a Train - Caught this Saturday night on TCM's Essentials series.  I would agree that it is essential viewing.  It was the best Hitchcock movie I've ever seen.
22) Kick-Ass - What a fun movie.  Pretty much a must see for comic book nerds.
23) Sherlock Holmes - WOW!...soooooo good.  I really hope there's a sequel and that it is also directed by Guy Ritchie.  Just checked IMDB on a whim and it looks like there will be one...Untitled Sherlock Holmes Sequel (2011) (pre-production)
24) Alice in Wonderland - We really dug this.  Pretty cool effects and whatnot.  Loved the Jabberwocky and and how they tried to model a lot of it from the Lewis Carrol novel illustrations.
25) The Road - Finally got to check this out.  Similar to the book, but not as bleak, if you can imagine that.  The narrative style was o.k., but there's no way they could have come close to the narrative style in the book.  Save your money and go to the library and get the book.
26) Bruno - Alright...I'm getting off the Sasha Baron Cohen train now.
27) I Love You Man - This movie was great.  I related with the main character on just about every level.
28 - 30) Toy Story 1, 2 & 3 - I've seen bits and pieces of 1 and 2, but never the whole movie.  In the build up to the new release, we DVRd 1 and 2 and I finally got a chance to watch them.  Each film was consistently excellent.  3 was equally excellent.  Buzz's Spanish Mode still has me cracking up.
31) The Last Airbender 2D - Reading the reviews before I went, I expected this movie to suck.  I was happily surprised that it didn't suck.  I'm a big fan of the cartoon, so I didn't want it to suck.  I think they did a good job with casting and the effects were good.  They could have done a lot of stuff differently, but I'm not gonna' complain too much.  I only have two major gripes.  They change the pronunciation of almost all of the character's names for some reason.  This nagged at me throughout the whole movie.  Also, Appa and Momo were kinda' thrown in as if they were an afterthought.  They never showed much detail on Appa and Momo just kinda' flitted around the screen every once in awhile.  Oh, and one other thing...there was no humor in the film.  Soka was serious all the time and he's usually the comic relief.  But aside from that, it wasn't horrible.  The kids loved it.
32) The Last Truck: Closing of a GM Plant - A decent documentary.  Hit close to home because it reminded me of my own layoff experiences from a manufacturing plant.  It generated a lot of discussion between me and the wife.
33) The Tooth Fairy - Went to go see Despicable Me in 3D last night but it was sold out, sooooo, with upset kids in tow we found a Redbox and I was basically at their mercy.  It was about as awful as you'd expect.  I was really surprised that Julie Andrews and Billy Crystal were in it.  Either those two are scraping for money or they had some serious cash to make this movie.  I doubt the later.
34) The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - I was told by a friend that this was o.k. to watch with the kids.  The first half was, and fortunately, it was time for bed in the middle of the movie.  The second half was way too deep for them.  It was completely good for me though.  I love Terry Gilliam films and this one fits right in with the rest.
35) The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - A great mystery story.  Hard to watch when Lisbeth is getting hurt, but fun to watch when she's doing the hurting.
36) Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Took Isaac to see this last night at the cheap theater.  Still hard to believe 3 people can see a movie ther for the price of one ticket at the regular theater.  Things sure are more affordable when you can ignore a theater that smells like a bellybutton.  This movie was just freakin' hilarious.  Reminded me of A Christmas Story in its sense of humor, narration and pacing.
37) Iron Man 2 - Went by myself to this one.  Had a good old time. Mickey Rourke stole the show.
38) After.Life - Full of lots of dramatic buildup to nothing and dead end spookiness. But the fact that human bobble head doll Christina Ricci has a bobble head doll on her dashboard.... hilarious.

39) Black Dynamite - We got Netflix and are streaming it through the Wii.  This was the first movie I picked.  It was a lot of fun with a six pack on a Friday night.  "Your knowledge of scientific biological transmogrification is only outmatched by your zest for kung-fu treachery! "

49. The Sorceror's Apprentice - 5

Not much to say about this.  Jay Baruchel in no way, shape, or form portrays anything like inner confidence or projects anything resembling "magical ability" throughout, yet somehow by the end he is doing away with magicians that no one could do away with for over 1000 years.  Mmm-kay.

-1 for a blatant ripoff of the Obi-Wan Kenobi "these aren't the droids you're looking for" trick/scene in the middle of the movie.  Right when the scene happened, I thought of how bad a ripoff that was... + 1/2 point for the writers at least also acknowledging how bad the ripoff was by having another character in the same scene actually say "These aren't the droids you're looking for" as a joke.  I was the only one who laughed, but I don't know if I was the only one who got it.  I think Andrea smiled at it, at least, but it wasn't particularly funny.  I think that was about the only time I laughed in the whole thing.

50. Stepbrothers - 6

I guess I like Will Ferrell movies or something.  I know this was incredibly stupid all the way through, but it made me laugh more on average than many other comedies I have seen recently.  They throw a LOT at the wall to see what sticks, and for every 2 or 3 misses, they have a hit.  Which is not such a bad ratio.  -2 points for the self loathing felt after I realized that I had actually enjoyed this.

40) Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel - This was surprisingly good.  I watched it because it starred Chris O'Dowd from The IT Crowd.  It was really well done.

41) The Time Traveler's Wife - Oddly enough, this was on right after FAQaTT.  I thought I would hate it, but it was also pretty well done.  It didn't hurt that Rachel McAdams was in it.

42) 500 Days of Summer - Boring assed, Zooey Deschanel self masturbatory film.
