Cory Doctorow here, too. No idea who that is. I used a post about gnocchi as my sample text, evidently Mr. Doctorow likes cooking.

Ha! He's the boingboing dude.

I got tons of different results from different pieces of writing: Stephen King, Margaret Atwood, Kurt Vonnegut, Dan Brown (gag me), and Chuck Palahniuk.

The entirety of Scurvytown, the weekly serial I've been writing for the past 10 weeks, yielded me Stephen King.

When I put in my entire 2008 NaNoWriMo novel, I get Vladimir Nabokov, so I'm reading some of his stuff now. First up is Pale Fire, because when I got to the library, between leaving the house and getting there, some dickface had checked out Lolita.

Nabokov is great. You'll enjoy him a lot.

Yeah I believe we had a discussion about him a little while back and I made a mental note to check him out and promptly forgot his name, so this "I Write Like" app gets mega points for reminding me!

Oh, and also, I love what I have read so far. Delightful stuff! I am hooked!

Just sing the Police tune: "just like the... old man in... the book by Nabokov"

Faulkner.

According to one of my profs, who commented: "While you may be living in the land of Faulkner, that does not mean you need to write like him." Ouch.

Will try the app and see the result.
