Walk the Moon tour dates
« on: November 16, 2011, 03:45:37 PM »

Up-and-coming Cincinnati natives Walk the Moon are truly road warriors. They are in the midst of yet another huge tour, this time with Fitz and the Tantrums. My daughter just saw them this past weekend at the 9:30 Club in DC (sold out, apparently). I'll probably be at the Madison show the day after Thanksgiving (as will be a number of other co-workers). Not sure if I mentioned this but Eli (the guitarist) is the son of one of my partners here in the law firm...

Yeah, good call.  Let's drive all the way from DC to ATL in one day down I-95.

Anyone know of a city off I-95 with a couple of decent clubs we could play at to break up that trip?  Nope.

really fun show tonight at the Madison. The band gave it all, and the crowd responded accordinly. I ran into not_ontheboards (Peter), or more correctly, he saw me and came up to me. Didn't see any other boarders.

That said, what an enjoyable show this was. This band is going places.

If you don't have tickets yet for the Feb 24 show at the Madison (with Young the Giant), fuggetaboutit! It's sold out, as I learned today. If anyone has an extra ticket they'd like to sell, lemme know. Thx!

I was able to score a ticket from some fan who had an extra so didn't have to pay through the nose to get into the show. I have to say, this was one of the more delightful shows I've attended in a while. WTM was the opener, and they put on a super-fun 45 min. set, playing a number of new songs that will appear on their new album (due out in late Spring or early Summer). These guys never fail to bring the energy, and the crowd loved it. Headliner Young the Giant was equally thrilling, to be honest. If I heard the lead singer right, this was their 6th visit to Cincinnati, but the first time as a headliner. Road warriers equal to Walk the Moon, it seems. Great, great show all around.
