The PNC show is with Barenaked Ladies and Howard Jones.

Not enough wild horses for that one. Ick. Sorry, Euro!

That's quite alright MK!

I don't care for Barenaked Ladies, but I've never seen Howard Jones in concert before so that should be interesting. In any event, there is zero chance for OMD coming to Cincinnati and me not being there. Both of their come-back albums (2010's History of Modern and 2013's English Electric) were amazingly/shockingly solid/outright good, among the best of their entire career. I'm thinking/hoping that they'll have a new album out by the time this tour comes around.

I thought they were petulant arseholes when they opened for Depeche Mode at Riverbend. They were obviously pissed off about something and took it out on the audience. Said I'd never see them again after that.

Is this a 1994 Riverbend show you are talking about? I was there, but (due to my date who wouldn't move along as fast as I wanted her to) didn't get there until just before DM came on.

In any event, with the passage of time, we all get a bit more tolerant, don't we? I mean, that was 22 years ago (if that is the show I'm thinking about). If you like OMD, are you going to hold a grudge for that long? Again, I don't mean to belittle your distaste of what happened then. Just wondering.

I have to laugh at your experience Lu, since some of my friends ended up playing hacky sack with some of the band out in the lawn for that show.  Count me in Euro!

It was the Music for the Masses tour in 1988. I had liked OMD before that, but the experience soured me on them, and once I go off someone, I don't tend to go back.

I saw Howard Jones at a festival.  It couldn't have been Lollapalooza.  I'm guessing maybe at an HFSTIVAL.  I wanna say I saw 10,000 Maniacs at the same event, but I can't be sure.

OMD at Wolftrap just makes no sense.

Guess which band I actually went to see for this show :-)
