I see the Madison as a much more plausible alternative for them to play here.

The Madison is on my personal it-must-be-outrageously-fantastic-before-I-ever-go-again list, right above Bogart's.

After my recent experience at Bogarts, I think I would take Bogarts before the Madison. Extra bonus is no-smoking at Bogarts.

I think the Madison is fine, the problems are just when there's a sold out show because they overbook (i.e. the Black Keys and Interpol fiascos).  Jen brings up a good point about the smoking though ... the Mad Hatter actually had banned smoking a while ago ... I guess come to think of it the last time I was at the Madison was the National / St. Vincent show.

I don't think they allow smoking at the madison, but those bottle necks from the bar to the floor just suck. it's not their fault, it's just a sucky layout for a standing room. now when they put tables and chairs in there it sucks even more. they are so packed together you can't get to a table. it's like table and chair storage than a venue.

It's actually $33.50 if you care to buy at the Bogart's box office directly.

I really wonder if this will sell well.

Hasn't that changed?  I thought when Live Nation took over the venue they started charging fees if you bought directly from the box office.  I could be wrong though, I haven't been to Bogart's in 3-4 years.

I'm quite certain they add a few dollars but definitely not the entire S/H charges that you pay for when buying on-line. Anyhoo, I will be at Bogart's next week and I'll let you know afterwards.

A few bucks at the window and last time I was there the staff was great. Even informed me to keep my ticket for re-entry. That's right people. Come and go as you please . . . and no frisking.

That was my favorite part!

Not sure I will make this but I probably should since I have never seen them before and might not get another chance.

This is why I forked over too much money and paid those damn LN fees. I imagine it will be a sell out.
