Being Human is on BBC America.  I think it's on Saturdays at 9?
Yep, we're 2 episodes in to the new season. (Side note: I cried during the season opener)

I cried, too. Damn you, BBC shows!

Thanks for the Hulu tip for Misfits, ZK!

I'm so excited that Breaking In is back on! While technically not a new show, it may be new to you. You can jump right in - there's nothing from the first season that you need to know. Fox at 9:30 PM on Tuesdays or online. Christian Slater seems to be having fun, so it's great to watch him.

Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the tip. I never watch BBC America because they butcher the shows too much.

Ah, but they've started running the premiere showings of episode as the full 75 minute British version. The reruns get cut down to the 60 minute format.

Thought they cancelled this after last season.  It's by no means great, but it's a solid comedy.

So just the first run is the full version? If so, thanks for the tip. Mark set up the Tivo to catch the reruns this weekend. Perhaps we'll download from Amazon then.

Well, it should be noted that I don't pay attention to the repeats on Saturdays so it's possible the next showing is also 75 minutes.

ETA: Looks like the midnight rebroadcast is also 75 minutes.

How can they do this and ensure each episode still makes sense? Is it really obvious where parts are cut out? Truly a crime against television.

They shorten scenes, cut teeny scenes out... it's the "Take a little off, and some off here, and some more off there" approach as best as I can tell. They should be experts at it since up until a couple years ago they would only air BBC shows cut down to fit 60 minutes scheduled lengths.

Note that the 60 minute British broadcast is being cut down so that when ads are inserted it stays at an hour. When I see that a show is scheduled for 75-80 minutes, I assume that we're getting the full show. PBS generally doesn't do this, though.

Oh thanks. :)

And yes Lutz, it is a crime. Which is another reason I prefer to watch via the Beeb (oh and no adverts is a huge plus too). I can't fathom why the BBC hasn't offered an international license at a REASONABLE fee for people to watch their shows. How many ex-pats and Anglophiles are there out there that pay someone else to use a proxy to get in? A lot I would reckon. I wouldn't know anything about proxies though. ;)

I was just checking to see if there's going to be a fourth series of Misfits, and it turns out there's going to be a US remake. So, you'd all better watch the original one pronto before being exposed to the crap knock-off version :p

I'd rather watch the British version anyway. :)

Spoiler probably not but just watched the Being Human premiere.
A bit sorry the cop bit it in the premiere of Being Human. Loved this: today is Thursday George. Know what that means? Fajitas!  (something along those lines.

Is anybody else watching The Aquabats! Super Show!?  It's like 60s Batman meets MST3K meets 50s Japanese monster movies.  It's fantastic, seriously.
