Haha. Yeah, I'm pumped about it too. I remember when the LotR films came out someone spliced scenes together from that and some 1980 (or so) film with a dragon to create a fake trailer. It was really good, so this one had better be better than the ersatz trailer.

A friend was just in Hobbiton this week but he can't post any photos anywhere until the movie comes out. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

It's Peter Jackson, though, so I trust him to make an epic to rival Lord of the Rings, not a cash cow to rival Harry Potter. Fingers crossed!

Me too. I just [re]purchased The Hobbit the other day (unexpectedly went to a bookstore and it was on display). Thought it might be good to read again before catching the film.
