diagrams- black light
« on: January 25, 2012, 10:08:22 PM »

carrying this over from the other thread....
i mentioned that i do hear the peter gabriel comparison in the near-monotone vocals, or maybe they sing in the same the octave.....and listening again, there were a couple of songs here that reminded me of david bowie's earthling also.
but apart from all of that, i should also say that this is a pretty decent album. nothing about it feels revolutionary...or even that daring really, but nothing feels hokey either.....it has a consistency to it that makes it an easy listen. it doesn't make any big statements but it just kind of chugs along in a pleasing way.

Yeah, I guess I would agree with the "chugging along in a pleasant way."  Although for me, that meant I listened to it 2-3 times and was done with it.  I guess I'd give it a solid B/3 stars out of five.
