I guess it just depends which camp you're in.  I'm a Manny guy, but would have to concede that he'd have a really tough time with Mayweather.  Not that we'd know until the combined purse hits $75 or 100 million.

I thought Bad Veins' first album was decent.

Buzz, the second album is better, so I think you'll be pleasantly surprized.

sorry, forgot about this thread even though i am in it a bunch!

first, i really do not have a strong opinion of it other than yes, it feels slicker than the debut and yes, it is poppier- but i don't even feel like it has strong hooks if that is what they were going for. whatever edge they had on the first album isn't here and has been replaced with a warm bath.

i am not saying it is a waste of time but i have been through it twice now and nothing is grabbing my face and ripping it off. or even really catching my ear...but who knows, i may see something in it later. if i had to pick a favorite it might be if then or i turn around and maybe it is just because the latter is so blatantly nostalgic.

i bet this is non-threatening enough to propel them onto MTV. it could be a great album to widen their fan base especially if some of these songs find their way into reality shows or something (that isn't sarcasm, i could see it happening).

i'm not totally writing this off but i also don't know if i want to sift through it 50 times.

Since I got a "sneak peak" months ago from the guys, this already sounds "old" to me and I'm ready for new material. Which isn't gonna happen, I realize that.

I agree with 20, this isn't anything earth-shattering, mostly pleasant sounding indie-pop. The first 4-5 songs are really, really strong. The second half lacks that same urgency.

The very first track "Don't Run" sounds like the perfect radio single to me, if you've heard the chorus one time you'll be humming it along non-stop, and by all means this should be a huge success. Except it doesn't feature Beyonce, Rhianna, or One Direction, so it's never gonna happen in today's commercial radio landscape.
