Anyone heard what day Passion Pit is playing?  Weird that they didn't include that with the announcement.

Weird, they just announced set times and suddenly Bad Veins is popping up on the lineup now.  Is that an acciddent?  I just looked at Sunday, there could be other examples on Friday and Saturday.

for convenience, here the link to the set times:

I am pretty excited. Still a number of acts to be announced, but there is surely PLENTLY of stuff to check out overall that is surely worthy of a $99 fetsival pass (which I've already purchased).

I really hope this festival gets well attended. We need a festival like that in Cincinnati, worts and all. A great companion to MPMF

After DJ, four more acts TBA and one of them is acoustic and another is a major act. i'm hoping for a ruckus roboticus dj set.

looking at the schedule, not much of interest on Friday before 6 pm, which is just fine with me as I'm working that day.

On Saturday: really surprised that Alberta Cross is playing so early (1:30 pm) but I will not miss them. Loved their set at the SGH last year (or was it 2010?).

Sunday seems to be the most packed of interest to me, with some conflicts... GBV vs. Passion Pit (Pit for me for sure), Margot vs. Bad Veins.

Thinking back of the interview in CityBeat with the organizer last year, when he was dreaming of getting 50,000 to attend, I don't really see this happening, but I just hope attendance is enough to warrant a second Bunbury

For Friday I'd like to catch Capital Cities and Tristen, but after that Euro is right . . . nothing i'm interested in til after 5 least my mind is changed. i'll have to give alberta cross a listen as this isn't the first time i've heard people talking about them.

attendance wise, i hope they hit the threshold of doing a second year. i'd guess it would be to break even and get bands paid (unlike some other festivals). if they really want to hit the mark they are going to need regional recognition. i'm sure there are people in louisville that would rather come to this rather than forecastle and that includes dayton, columbus, lexington and indy and i'd say you could also draw from knoxville, nashville, detroit, cleveland and pittsburgh. they could use advertising support or a street team on the net. i volunteered for the latter but haven't heard a peep.

of the subject: does anybody know what advertising contract kishi bashi got because he is all over the net.

He does a good job of self-promotion, but 230, TAG and Joyful Noise have done a pretty good job here. It helps when you are involved with Of Montreal and Deerhoof! Oh, and are talented. :)

In other news - GBV only gets 45 minutes? Pathetic.

I've never seen Gaslight Anthem before, and will be interested to check them out live.

got the following email this morning:

Quote
Dear Bunbury Attendee,

We regret to inform you there will not be a Will Call window at the festival. We ask that you print your ticket and bring it with you. There is also a mobile option so you can just use your phone to get in. If you need help printing your ticket, please contact support@showclix.com.

Sincerely,

The Bunbury Staff

Rather strange, wouldn't you say?
