Anyone listening to this? I love this album, with all of its reggae, indie and soul sounds

No I haven't, but I saw them open up for The Temper Trap last year.

They also played at MPMF last September (but I didn't know about them until later).

How was their set? Just curious.

They were good for what they did, but it didn't excite me. They were out right afterwards talking to people and move some merch, so they're driven.

Heard an interview with them on NPR today. Probably "All Songs Considerered," but I'm not sure. Some nice moments but on the whole, I was lukewarm to them. Maybe I'm just old and crotchety.

I had the same reaction, so yes, you're old and crotchety.

OK, there weren't pictures of her on the radio so maybe I could be persuaded.

As an album, its mixture of genres that never consistently gets poppy enough to make you forget the blatant thievery.

It's more than good enough that you don't come off as poseurs or rip-off artists... more like it just kind of drifts by familiarly without really grabbing your attention.

But there are a couple of pretty catchy singles on it.  And even those come off like Santigold B-sides, but the point is they are catchy enough for me to just have fun and not worry about it.

The Extra Classic album that came out a few years ago is like 10,000 times better than this.  TEN THOUSAND!
