So I went back to Madison Live for Mates of State and Good Graeff and saw the upstairs. Outdoors and also a shotgun shack, but very cool. Unfortunately, they can not have bands up there and charge for them since there is no wheelchair access. They also have a sound booth above the merch tables. They don't have it wired yet, but I hope soon

Dammit, the Madison keeps getting shows I'd like to see, but it's an obnoxious shit hole.  C'mon SGH, Woodward, Motr, 20th Century, step up your game.

I agree with the Madison, but the Madison Live wasn't bad when I was there. It is basically a long room next to the Madison. Yes, if it is a sell-out, it will be bad being in the back, but not as bad as the Madison as it is at least all one level so you could at least kind of see the band. It would take a lot for me to go to the Madison, but I would go back to the Madison Live again.

11-07 Robert DeLong - Madison Theatre

I was going to travel to Columbus where he'd be playing a smaller place, but I think I'll lift my ban on Madison Theater for him.

Also listening to Veridia for Madison Live. TBD.

Speaking of which, I have a ticket for Veridia on Oct 3, but am going camping with the kid. Do I have any takers? How about half price at $6.25?

Sure, why not. For $6 I'll take a chance just about anything.

We can settle up when we see each other at MPMF. You planning on catching The Besnard Lakes on Saturday afternoon?

That is awesome! I've got their album in my top 10, maybe even top 5, of best albums of the year.

Anyone interesting opening?

ETA: Turns out that Wolf Alice plays the CD102.5 Holiday Show in Columbus on Sat. 12/5 at the LC Pavilion, co-starring Foals, Silversun Pickups and Circa Waves. I may have to check that one out instead, as I love me some Foals too!
