100 cd's from the library in 2017
« on: December 10, 2017, 09:03:16 AM »

1- florence and the machine- how big how blue how beautiful- after a few spins i liked it more, but not more compared to her other worldly first albums
2- father john misty- i love you honeybear- still a few songs in and i love it immensely
3- neil young- peace trail- god shoot me
4- radiohead- in rainbows- maybe i just don't get radiohead
5- animal collective- painting with- not the best music to listen to in a loud ass '93 festiva
6- junior boys- big black coat- very groovy
7- beck- morning phase- underwhelming
8- pokey lafarge- something in the water- i imagine seeing him live would be better
9- ryan adams- prisoner- one of his weaker albums.  entirely listenable nonetheless
10- ryan adams- 1989- very enjoyable
11- mos def- the ecstatic- good, but i don't think we'll get blackstarr quality ever again.  still good though

Did you mean 100 CDs in December?  Little late to just be starting 2017...

If you didn't get In Rainbows, you'll never like Radiohead.

i could listen to a greatest hits album easy.  or if you told me to listen to a particular song, i'd probably enjoy it.  i just can't get into their album format, or want to

12- arcade fire- everything now- first heard the single while cruising the west fjords of iceland on the only radio station available.  i was all, holy shit dear.  arcade fire.  the album is so so but it's growing on me
13- birdie- self titled- pretty let down.  not that i was expected to be blown away
14- music now; 10 years- bonnie prince billy was the highlight for me.  some great bands rolled thru memorial hall.  i was at the first one with da suf.  or maybe that was the second one

I think you can divide Radiohead into two periods.  Pre and post ok computer.  I LOVE everything Radiohead did pre-ok computer.  I donít care at all about anything they did after.
