Hives and Dirt Bombs
« on: December 04, 2004, 03:38:17 PM »

Saw the Hives last night. I've heard they're good in concert and I must agree. "Howlin" Pelle is a great frontman, often climbing into the crowd. I was surprised at how much energy the band had.

The Dirt Bombs....I AM NOW A FAN! F me running, they put on a good show, or at least for the last 3-4 songs we caught. I think the crowd actually gave them as much applause as the Hives. Not really sure about why they had 2 drum sets and 2 bass players on stage, but they blew me out the door. I'll be seeing them again and getting a hold of their music!

Added bonus: Looking cool with two hot chicks! Hung out with sueque and redbobsled's sister.

although I had a sense of their on-stage personas prior to friday, the hives nevertheless blew me away.  simply stated, they are a blast.  and they can rock out.

and, yes, the dirtbombs were a freakin' pleasant surprise!
