Anyone have thoughts of this one?  I hear it is not gonna be the typical Vin flick.  I'm a total Sci-Fi geek though so I'll check it out anyway.  Pitch Black I thought pretty much blew but this looks different and more "deep" if you can use thatterm and Vin in the same sentence.  So whattcha think?

I'll give you deep....

It was certainly more serious than the bulk of his work

Not that excited about this one, but I'm going to a screening of it on Friday.  I'll let you know if it was any good.

hehe.. Yeah I know but it's hell of a lot more dramatic and culturally sound than whatever that race car one he was in.  We're talkin Vin for Pete's sake!  This is the guy who probably thinks Kafka is a breakfast cereal!

I thought PITCH BLACK was one of the best sci-fi movies in AGES. I'm completely upset that they took a movie that was so brilliant in its simplicty and mucked it up with special effects and costumes. GAH!

No kiddin?  Are you talking about COR being mucked by the effects or Pitch Black?  I have to say that I was entertained by Pitch Black but was kinda bored towards the end due to the predictability and overused character archtypes.  The premise was definitley cool!  I think that they could have done a far better job with different directing though.  Just my humble opinion.

Yah, I really didn't get into Pitch Black.  It looked cooler in the commercials than it actually was.  COR, on the other hand, looks completely badass!
