Napoleon Dynamite

I just saw a preview of Napoleon Dynamite.  I had a good time--it was  funny.  Check out the website and trailer.  They're doing previews all over the nation it seems, so you should be able to check it out.  In addition to seeing the movie for free, I got a swank free t-shirt.  2.5 Cheese Doodles I say.  3 or 3.5 when you factor in the free t-shirt.

Man, do I sound like a street-teamer.....

Saw a preview of it in the movies a while back and it did catch my fancy.  Probably go check it out as soon as I can, does anybody know when it opens here in Cincy?

I saw the trailer for it last weekend and it looked like something I'll probably go see. It had the dreaded "Coming Soon" tag, but July sounds about right.

Interesting that I saw the trailer at a 20-screen multiplex.

I loved it. I had read several reviews accusing it of "no plot" and blah blah blah. I don't need a lot of action. It made me laugh.

Going to see this tonight at the AFI Silver. I'm looking forward to it. Its run at the theatre ends tomorrow night, but they're showing the newly-extended version of the film.

I loved the movie...so much that I'm going back to see it again tomorrow night. I'm not a big movie person, but I always latch on to one film per year. This was so funny.

I caught a trailer tonight that said the movie had an extra scene--so that's the scam they're pulling with those of us who saw it for free......:)

Good things come to those who wait (and pay admission). ;)

I saw it today.  Good flick.  It is a bit like Dollhouse with a heart, but that's okay.

semi-spoiler:

The only part that kinda didn't ring true was Deb.  There really wasn't much insight into why she was like that and pretty much you could tell all she had to do was change her hair to be "normal."  Whereas Napoleon Dynamite and his clan was just doomed from the start.  She was like the "scientist" in a porno film where they just put someone's hair in a bun and give her glasses.

I just saw it tonight. I thought it was kinda lame. It had some funny parts, but I just couldn't stand watching/listening to the guy.

Not a film I'd recommend

I absolutely LOVE this movie.  I know it's slightly awkward, but it's truly classic.  There's so much random stuff in the movie that it cracked me up.

Guy:  Hey Napoleon, what'd you do this summer?
Napoleon Dynamite:  I spent it in Alaska with my Uncle hunting wolverines!
Guy: Did you kill any?
ND:  Yeah, like 50!
Guy:  What kind of gun did you use?
ND:  A Freakin' 12 Gauge!  God!
