I caught Jarhead this weekend, and was rather intrigued by the whole thing.  For a quick review thingy, I'd say it was good.  Not great, and I'm not running out and telling people to go see it, but I've noticed that certain elements and themes have stuck with me over the past few days.  It's a film mostly about boredom - dealing and coping with boredom.  So it has some awkwardness that comes with that topic, but it was well done and very believable.

My question is:  Shlep, I know you were in Desert Storm.  What did you think of the movie?  Is that what it was like?  The film seemed rather realistic to me, but I wouldn't really know since I have no point of reference.  Care to contribute?  If it's too difficult of a subject to talk about, then no problem.
