This last episode, "We've got Magic to do" with the DAR fundraiser and stuff was so good.

I am back to loving Richard & Emily, after they told off the "Hamburgers"

The stuff with Sookie & Jackson and their kids was hilarious too.  "Turn the TV down Davey!"

I kinda gave up on this show last season.  Didn't watch much TV at all other than Lost, which was really a shock to me as I used to be a total TV addict.  But anycrap, somehow this season I've found myself watching a bit more, and I decided to give GG another chance.  At first, meh.  But the last episode was really good, and next week's looks very exciting!

I thought Richard was going to have a stroke, he was so pissed off!  He and Emily really are my favorite characters.

Emily's  line to Logan's mom about "whatever bar you stumbled into" and sayign that she "bagged" the mr. huntsberger (forget his name) were awesome.

Mitchum, I find it funny that he's named after a deodorant company.

Bumpin' for Luke being compared to a Peanuts character last night by Michelle.  Ep was okay-not my favorite.  Although nothing tops the line, "your Mom makes that guy in Joy Division look like a Teletubby!"

I didn't catch that, was that something Luke said about Lorelai's mom?

My favorite quip this season was from Rory's 21st birthday episode.

Luke: It's like drinking a My Little Pony!

I laughed for ages over that.

From the Pernice Brothers Email Newsletter:

Quote
Joe Pernice will make his episodic television debut in an upcoming Gilmore Girls.  He will play one of several Stars Hollow troubadour-wannabes that descend on the town after the regular troubadour, Grant Lee Phillips, is discovered by Neil Young and whisked off on a tour.  Joe will sing a yet-to-be-determined song.  No word yet on who the other troubadours are, but knowing the excellent musical instincts of the Gilmore gang, it will undoubtedly be good.  I do not yet know the air date, but will post as soon as I do.  Joe heads out to Burbank next week to tape.  I know I have a proclivity toward making things up, but this is true.  I swear to God.

The rider Joe sent me to pass along to the wonderful people at the Gilmore Girls wasnít QUITE as demanding as the Vice Presidentís list as reported by The Smoking Gun this week (Isnít Perrier French?).  Says the misanthropic humanist (stolen from Tim Haslett) ďAlso, I require a new BMW Z3 (six cylinder) to take me from my trailer to the set. And a CA licensed rolfer on call. A six pack of Mylanta and personal dvd player with the following dvds: "Abigail's Party" and "Straw Dogs" and "Glengarry Glenn Ross." I think these will really assist me in pulling off the character I envision. And tell Helen, "No go, no Joe."  If I were those people, Iíd send his sorry white ass right back to Holbrook, MA.  But that would be tough on his parents.

I never watch this show and forgot to set my DVR, so I missed seeing them.  However,   here is a post I just put up, in case anyone missed the Sonic Youth appearance.

I liked Joe Pernice's bit a lot.  I think they handled the whole troubador thing very well.  The rest of the episode though left me seeing red.
