I'm not sure what happened.  Virginia Tech did not look that good against GA Tech or BC, and Clemson basically tied BC and beat the crap out of Georgia Tech.  Some people here had already kinda written off their season.

That's ACC football.  No one is really all that good so any team can beat another.  I'm just waiting for  UNC vs. Duke.  It's sure to be a barnburner, and what a way to cap the ACC regular season!

Actually, they have a good habit of playing pretty well in important games, then the bad habit of totally losing it against complete garbage teams kicks in the following week.

Quoted for emphasis.  VT was just determined.  Clemson hasn't been in enough important games to figure out how to rebound from a win, plus making it a short week after that game didn't help.  This is Tommy Bowden's MO, unfortunately for Tiger fans.

Their QB play didn't help them last night.  Herbstreit kept harping on how they needed to throw on 1st down... well, there's a REASON they don't throw that much.  Proctor is shaky.  It would've been nice to see them run a few more sweeps though... or ANYTHING besides repeated runs up the middle or WR screens.

Yeah throwing a lot with Proctor = a lot of interceptions. That's why we are a running offense.

Sometimes Herbstreit can be a complete fool. Where did he go to school again?
